I-NERGY successfully closes 1st Open Call!
After 10 intense weeks of dissemination activities, webinars and info days, I-NERGY’s first Open Call, which ran from 8th November 2021 until 20th January 2022 for SMEs and Startups to submit their applications, closed having reached an impressive 126 submitted and 403 started applications from 27 countries.

The scope of this Open Call was for SMEs including startups to develop building blocks and applications for new AI algorithms/services and small-scale experiments (Prototypes) in order to address the developments and implementation of technology and systems applicable to specific cross-sectorial Challenges within the Energy sector for the purpose of enriching the AI resources and tools catalogue for Energy on Europe’s AI-on-demand platform AI4EU.
After its successful conclusion the selection process has now entered its evaluation phase with the eligibility check and prescoring selection already having been completed at this stage. The month of February will be dedicated to the external evaluation of the top 55 applications, resulting from the prescoring phase, whose outcome will then be assessed by the Selection Committee during a consensus meeting in which the up to 10 best applications will be selected to join I-NERGY’s first Tech Transfer Programme.
Finally, in March, the top 10 applications will be invited to the Formal check and, hopefully, in April, they will join the Project, starting the 6 months Tech Transfer Programme and receiving up to €50K Eur for two deliverables: Up to €10K Eur for deliverable 1, the individual mentoring plan and proof of concept, and up to €40k Eur for the prototype development.
